Duxton Hotel Perth Bridal Open Day 2016
What a pleasure it was to be invited to participate in the Duxton Hotel’s Bridal Open Day this May! We had such a great time, met a lot of wonderful brides, grooms and wedding suppliers x
Admittedly, we were quite nervous, having never been a part of a bridal open day/fair/expo before but the nerves were all quickly washed away once we were setting up our stall. We had the pleasure of being ‘sandwiched’ between Anca & Aquilino Photography WA and Roadshow DJs & Events with a gorgeous view of A Flamingo Surprise’s absolutely breathtaking flower wall (feature picture) and Bridal Brooch Bouquets Perth stunning brooch bridal bouquets.
With each fair/show we attend, we launch a series of brand spanking new designs that reflect the current trends in event stationery. This open day, we launched our Juniper wedding suite with gorgeous, natural watercolour tones and beautiful script font; our Eden suite boasting tropical themes, delightful orchids and rich purple and deep green tones; plus our Boho Fantasy and Dreamcatcher suites that both feature pretty pastels, playful text and notable featuring of same sex couple names. We’re all for marriage equality!
A lot was learned about what kind of things to expect as an exhibitor at such displays. We always take a small to medium sized box with loose prints in a variety of themes just in case our original planned display doesn’t quite have the right feel for show … which also makes it easier to change our minds and can make choosing a smaller selection quite difficult! Extra competition forms, flyers and business cards to replenish levels when they start getting low; various other items to remember for next time and other bits that can be left behind and, a fully charged phone for taking photos!
We’d like to thank Sarah from Takes the Cake for being so friendly, offering very welcomed advice and great little chats in the quiet moments throughout the day. She’s a star and so talented! Check out her fantastic work HERE. And of course, a huge thanks to the staff and organisers at the Duxton Hotel for their hospitality, assistance and just generally being awesome. One of the other stationery exhibitors had cancelled at the last minute which left their space open for us to step in and really start getting our brand out there. Next stop, eBridal’s Weddings, Functions and Celebrations Expo 20th & 21st of August. Look out world, here we come!
